| SOME RECENT REVIEWS |
| “London Operetta’s
Gilbert and Sullivan From Scratch performances
just get better and better… We were helped
by a splendid programme and a director who never
lost his sense of humour, though he worked us solidly
for the first hour… During the second part
(the actual performance) we were treated to some
superb singing from the principals… John
Ayldon’s (of D’Oyle Carte fame) hilarious performance
as ‘The Sergeant of Police’ should
be recorded for future generations”. |

| “This was absolutely spiffing
fun… Wonderful singing from the cast of professional
singers… Do whatever you can to get a seat for
the final performance tonight.” |

| “A
real romp of an evening… The audience loved
every minute” - The

| STAGING |
| The Pirates
of Penzance From Scratch performance is very simple
to stage and suitable for a number of different style
venues. We bring a simple set that represents part
of a Rocky Cornish Coast. No flying is required.
We ask the venue to provide; |
| A grand
or baby grand piano, a row of rostrum, a white cyclorama
backdrop (if possible), a basic sound system for
the Musical Director which is used during the rehearsal
part of the performance (the actual performance is
acoustic), some good basic lighting and enough lighting
on the audience to enable them to read their programmes/music
scores in comfort. |
| 2 Dressing
Rooms with the usual facilities. |
